The A5 between Rastatt and Bühl

At the Baden-Baden exit there's a service station with its own slip road, and there's another at Bühl. Between the Baden-Baden and Bühl exits is also the Oberfeld rest area. Names like these help us find you if you can't see a road sign.

From Rastatt, the B462 leads into the Murg valley towards Gaggenau and Gernsbach. We help there too if you break down.

The Michaelstunnel on the B500

The B500 runs as a western bypass past the city centre. The Michaelstunnel is about 2.5 kilometres long, built between 1986 and 1989, with a single tube and two-way traffic. If you break down there, switch on your hazard lights, turn off the engine, leave the vehicle and head to the nearest emergency point, if it's safe to do so. If anyone is injured, call 112. Call us as soon as you're standing safely. We'll arrange the rest.

The Schwarzwaldhochstraße

The B500 continues as the Schwarzwaldhochstraße for more than 60 kilometres to Freudenstadt, climbing above 1,100 metres. Steep sections put strain on brakes and cooling. In snow and ice, vehicles can slide or get stuck in winter; see our guide (German) Winter breakdown on the Schwarzwaldhochstraße. If you break down going up or down hill: hazard lights, hi-vis vest, warning triangle, and keep your distance from the carriageway. For pickup from mountain sections, please tell us the exact spot, for example a car park or viewpoint like the Mummelsee, Plättig, or Bühlerhöhe.

Narrow lanes and hillside streets

Baden-Baden's residential areas have narrow streets, gradients and bends. Briefly describe how your vehicle is positioned and whether it's blocking anything. We'll then send a vehicle that can manage there too.

Baden Airpark and the area around Rheinmünster

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, known as Baden Airpark, is in Rheinmünster, about 30 kilometres south of Karlsruhe and roughly 10 kilometres from Baden-Baden, Bühl and Rastatt, right by the A5, B36 and B500. From the A5 you can reach it via the Baden-Baden exit towards Iffezheim, or the Bühl exit (52) towards Oberbruch and Rheinmünster. If you're stuck in the car park with a flat battery after a trip, you usually just need a jump-start, not a tow truck. Tell us the car park and row, and we'll find you.

Towing to Bühl, Rastatt and Sinzheim

The distances between these towns are short, and your regular garage is often not far. We take your vehicle there, to a dealer, or home. For accidents: choose the destination carefully.
